I’m having my first blog contest!! (Yippee for you)
I stumbled on Snapvillage.com a few weeks ago. It is a relatively new venue to buy and sell royalty free digital images.
The more views the photos get, the higher in the queue they are, resulting in a higher chance to actually sell them.
How to enter the contest:
Go to Snapvillage and enter JMillen in the search window. All of my photos will be displayed.
Click on the photo in my collection that you like best to view it. Post a comment including the item number (found just above the top right hand corner of the photo) in a comment back to me here.
For example, this photo’s item number 43-00436492
The winner:
will be randomly drawn from all entries on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 6pm EST. The more unique comments you log, the more chances you have to win.
The prize:
Two cards of the winner’s choice from my Etsy shop.

I really like the photo of the TC State Hospital — interesting, haunting, evocative…. The number is 43-00449094. I didn’t know anything about SnapVillage — thanks for introducing me to it.

FIrst of all, Heather, I LOVE your blog!
I am in TC, and I LOVE the State Hospital! They almost tore it down about 10 years ago. They had a big rummage sale and sold everything on the inside.. some of it was really creepy. They are slowly renovating, now there’s restaurants, shops, condos.. just the coolest place in town!

I enjoyed looking at your photos. The one that struck me was 43-00428698 of the crayons. I’m a teacher and a mother to a toddler they just seemed to go right along with my life.

I once took a digitlal photograpy class and my end project had to have a theme. I chose fences as mine. I drove around our town looking for unique fences and ended with an incredible collection. One was from a cemetary, one almost got me arrested because the owner of the house was frightned by this lady takin pictures of her abode from across the street. Your picture (43-00449095) of the fence fits in perfectly with some of my pictures…..very unique!!

The flip flops picture is my personal favorite (43-00449107.)
It was a tough choice, though. The photos stirred so many memories, smells and emotions. The palm leaf and hospital gate were lovely as well.
