I couldn’t decide what to write about, so I thought I’d do another giveaway.

You see, I have lots and lots of felted sweaters, here is just a tiny sampling.

I am in the process of possibly making a huge career change that will leave little room for needlefelting.   So, time to destash!

I’ve been listing some of it in my Etsy shop and there’s more to come.

In the meantime, here’s a pic of what I’m giving away.  I’ll draw a winner on Thursday, July 31 at 5pm EST.

There are two pieces.  The top patterned piece is lambswool and is about 8.5″ x 7″.  The bottom piece is the back of a sweater and measures about 17″ x 12″.

To get into the drawing just leave a post here.. and promise you’ll look in one of my shops: JMillenLovesToKnit or JMillen!  Ha ha you knew there was a catch!

(No purchase is necessary to participate in this giveaway and I have no actual way of knowing if you looked at my shop.)

Good luck to everyone!  I know you will make something fabulous with this wool!

Guess what I did this past weekend..

 I took this..

 I made these!

They are darling little wristlets made out of pants and upholstery samples.  I’ve had the samples for 6 months the idea has been burning in my brain for almost as long.  The pants came from Goodwill.  Most of them were on clearance, so I didn’t feel guilty taking something that somebody might want to wear.

I made up a little tag to hang on them.

Tomorrow I’m off to a cute little store called Penny Lane to see if they want to buy them from me!

Today is the first day

of the rest of my blog!

Procrastination has had a hold on me for quite some time regarding the blog thing. I confess I have become addicted to reading quite a few in the past few weeks, so I’m throwing my hat into the blog ring (blring?).

My head has been filled with projects I NEED to make. I finally have time!

First up, a photo of my attempt to make a wristlet from completely recycled materials. Pants (including zipper) and upholstery samples were used. I’m not satisfied with the end product, but its a start. Those of you who know me are probably surprised that my first blog entry is of a sewn item, not knitted or digitally created! Oh what a three-dimensional crafter I am.

I wish I would have photographed the materials before I cut, but next time I will.  Here’s the finished product hanging on my favorite porch chair:
